About Brittni

After about 20 years of not doing much art, because of career, motherhood, and capacity, I have reacquainted myself with the act of creating.  I've been inspired by taking classes in linocut and ceramics, participating in low stakes art events, and seeing artists share beautiful work online.  Wanting to participate in the farewell to Lloyd Center really pushed me to create sketches of places that were meaningful to me, and the response was that they were meaningful to others as well.  It feels good to create something that resonates with people and captures something meaningful that they can cherish.

I have a background in special education, but between pandemic distance learning, my daughter needing surgeries in St. Louis, and my parents both passing, I took a step back from my career to focus on supporting my family.   Additionally, one of my children is autistic and requires a school environment that cannot be provided at our local public school, so one of my goals with my art is to help provide income for my family to continue to pay for her schooling.  I truly appreciate any and all support of my art, thank you!
